Compared to a magic shortbow (i) with amethyst arrows (the best arrows it can use) karils crossbow/bolt racks have 9 higher attack bonus, same range strength as amethyst arrows, a longer attack range, and same attack speed; so its already a slightly better weapon for about same cost (55 per bolt rack vs [360*0.2] per arrow with assembler, add 6gp/shot for repair cost for just crossbow, or 30gp ... void is better vs low defense opponents / with very high (usually high 80s or more) range level. karils when you need to maximize magic resist. blessed dhide otherwise. High Defence Monster = Karils / Armadyl Low Defence Monster and you have 90+ Ranged = Void Blessed is pretty much your go to if you can't use above or if you need the Pray Bonus.As far as setup goes, actual gear doesn't matter so much for this exercise so just know my "tanky" setup was rockin barrows melee top and bottom, coming out to -40 magic attack bonus. The question is, these are not very expensive from the NPC compared to blood runes (the amount of bloods maximizes @ lower reward potential that the one that proritizes bolt racks) and I am going to ...Karil's: 25% chance of hitting twice with one attack. Torag's crypt is located to the south-west of the Barrows area. He uses melee equipment, which makes him vulnerable to Magic attacks.
